I sent the wholesaler for XHP a customer service email to see if they had any ground stock floating around in unlisted places.
If I can get a hold of some, I'll just pay the price and do like I've done with the stanley irons - make a few.
I doubt I'll have any luck, but refusing to ask in the first place is a good way to make sure I have no luck.
If I can get some, I'll be browsing old headstones (no kidding, old headstones often have great simple designs that look nice on the top of a plane iron) to see if the infill irons can be a little bit more stylish than the round top stanley irons.
