Hi Joe,

If you haven’t yet, you might take a look at Curtis Buchanan on Youtube. He shows using the two-handed scorp (or inshave), and does it standing with his arms extended, so the cut is thigh height. He also has a good scorp sharpening video on Youtube.

With the bevel on the bottom side of the cut, you can control the depth. If the bevel were on the top side of the cut, seems like the tool would immediately want to dive and come to a quick stop.

The Curtis Bichanan videos are good because they’re unedited as far as I can tell—he shows the real life of it.
