We generally replace wrecked bits at work. I got the machinist a Drill Doctor for the dull ones, but he doesn't bother with stuff like you're describing. So unless you are really wanting to keep to a specific brand, my advice is replace it (in part because I can't answer the actual question you asked :D ). McMaster or MSC are good places to get quality replacements. I like MSC a hair better because they tell you the brand name of what you're buying and where it came from.
