Unfortunately, I don't have a suggestion. i twice got a wheel off of the tormek, cleaned it up *should've put much oil on it between each, but didn't*, and then put another wheel on.

The last time I tried to get the black wheel off, it was stuck too hard, and I didn't break it on purpose. It just broke due to repeated tapping, levering, etc. I wish I'd have known that it was going to break, as i'd have just broken it from the outset and saved myself a lot of pinched fingers and hand soreness.

The big issue at the time was after having trouble getting wheels off twice, I'd purchased the stainless arbor kit (which I thought was kind of ridiculous to have to pay for) and Tormek's suggestions around the rusted wheel weren't helpful. I thought somewhat evasive at the time "we've fixed the problem for you by offering this kit now that you can buy" .

(OK, I've bought a machine and three different wheels, and a bunch of attachments. I guess I don't rise to the level of being more than someone that you can just sell things at).

The other wheels when they'd rusted ,seemed like they wouldn't come off, then they slowly broke loose and then slowly got more loose until I could turn them reasonably and get them off.

The rust inside the shaft combined with an abrasive wheel that can really grip it even after it's been broken loose a little bit is a huge problem.
