What ever you are doing results in vastly, maybe 10X, longer edge life than what I am doing. Given that I now shoot ends often when building I need to learn what is different. My edge life is so poor I have started avoiding shooting to avoid frequent sharpening on the more difficult to sharpen very thick skewed LV plane.
