....the lack of blades from LV probably has more to do with ordering a specialty steel from a mill that there may be other customers for, and being able to get that one steel only from one mill (or company with several mills).

I read on one of the mill sites that they fast tracked the development of a steel for $20MM or something, so I would assume that LV picked a steel rather than having one developed (Rob mentioned costs of a quarter of a million dollars or something, half a million? not sure).

Hadn't really even thought about it until seeing that figure.

But it is *really* good, and I expected to prove that it was only a little more than A2. I obviously didn't bias my results to make them what I expected, and am surprised.
