Re: Anything else to test? Testing iron durability () david weaver
...thanks, by the way.
When I was thinking of building an infill skew shooting plane (something that I don't use much at this point, but it's been nice the times I've wanted to trim a board (a trim board without tenons on the end) to fit in something stick built.
Anyway, I had pondered not building one at all because I wanted to build bevel down and didn't think 40 degrees would provide clearance and durability. Your test gave me the initiative to build the plane at 40 degrees effective and the plane has been an absolute treat.
Even survived a fall to a concrete floor thanks to my constantly cleaning Mrs.
