Re: Anything else to test? Testing iron durability

Hi David and all,

1. Bevel angle. Derek said bevel angle was significant. Steve Elliott found the same thing, with differences of plus or minus a degree or two around 32 degrees affecting his results, and in more forgiving wood than hard maple:

2. CPM 3V. Don’t have a Stanley-alike 3V, but if a 0.145”/2-3/8” one will do, I can send. Fits LN 4.5, 6, 7. Also have 3/16” thick at 2” and 2-1/4”. This may not be of much interest because they’re not commercially available.
