strangest thing you've planed? () Jack Ervin
In the early '60s I had a Stanley 101cast iron block plane that I fitted with a blade made from a flat file which was ground to a 90 degree angle (as in end scraper) to plane the edges of Formica to smooth up and edge brake after routing. Also in the mid '50s I used my Miller Falls block plane to skive leather.
