Tom, I asked the officer about the locking nuts, and he said they were a trivial problem for crews such as hit my truck (and a similar one in the same lot at the same time).

According to him, the number of patterns used on those "locking" nuts is very small, they are readily available, and the really bad guys have them all.

I now think that I was lucky, in that my truck was "jacked" by competent thieves. If they had felt compelled to break into the truck to get the tool in the glove compartment, they would have taken the Suretest circuit analyzer and other tools, including that new saw.

I'm back home now, and have a new mantra:

I'm not a big wheel

But I'm tireless

Striving for balance.
