Re: American thievery () Warren in Lancaster, PA
It is hard to give specific examples of these problems without upsetting people, but here is an example from England.
A fellow claimed he made the best planes that were ever made and he charged high prices. How good were they? Well, when he wanted make a piece of wood flat and smooth, he used a milling machine and sandpaper. It was obvious that he did not really know how to use a plane. So of course his planes were not very useful to a craftsman.
When someone with little experience and understanding in using hand tools is designing these tools, that is not so good. When they pretend to be experts and write that they make the finest tools, that is bad.
