I was mostly wondering what materials you use, how the two colors go on the chair, and what you top it off with. Mike Dunbar advocated milk paint followed by Waterlox or something equivalent. That's what I put on a chair of his about 25 years ago, and it is looking suitably funky to me. Seems like the wear pattern is part of the authentic looking finish.

For what it's worth, Stephen Shepherd never agreed with milk paint for period chairs. I was just wondering what finishing regime you favor.
