Thanks! - the back of the peghead looks almost like it's been coarsely sanded, but that's just the lines in the varnish from padding it on with a cloth. The neck itself has been sanded as a final step to remove any facet and fill pores with linseed oil slurry, but it's still generally crisp.

Telecasters aren't works of art, though, and the work could be a little bit more crisp but it'll be comfortable and cherry guitars are uncommon. Varnished cherry guitars are extremely uncommon.
