Dovetails ()

You said it best "stick to a method". Once you have that just practice. I learned from reading a booklet by Ian Kirby. In it he stresses repetition. Practice your saw cuts. often. Rob Cosman, another dovetailing "expert" states that he practices cutting dovetails often. It is a simple joint and easy to master. You just have to practice to get consistent results. When I was learning I dovetailed everything I built. Even birdhouses. Just for the practice.---Jack
