I'm somewhat sheepish about making this post as it shows nothing I've made.....just something I bought. But my 71st is approaching and I decided to add to my kit with a couple of hand tools that have received favorable mention here: a birdcage awl and a marking knife.

I must say they are both more substantial than I had imagined.....especially the birdcage handle. Both seem beautifully made.....thanks to Bob Zajicek.

So, if you're thinking of treating yourself, these tools appear to be a treat.
