This plane is on my wish list. I find all of your comments regarding it very amusing. I've never told the below story until now... :D

At IWF in 2016, I was tired from a long day of walking the show floor and came upon the Lee Valley booth. It was the first time I saw that plane, and one of the booth attendants had a freshly sharpened iron in it. They had a piece of 3/4" stock (can't remember the species) on the shooting board. I probably stood there for who knows how long, peeling shaving after shaving of end grain. It felt like Nirvana. It was a bit embarrassing regaining consciousness and becoming aware of the crowd surrounding me.
