Subject:
red oak flooring repurpose ideasJack Guzman from Maine
I was cleaning my shop and discovered a long forgotten bundle of unused red oak flooring. I need to find a use for this stuff or dispose of it somehow. It is about 2 1/4" by 3/4" random lengths,t&g on the edges and ends. It is unfinished and the top is flat with no bevel. The bottom surface is not flat,it has been grooved. There is roughly 20 square feet of it.
I thought vaguely of a table top or bench top. It is too small to use as a floor covering and I have no desire to buy more.
I'm looking for ideas on what to do with it. As a last resort I could chop it short and use it as fuel for my wood stove.---Jack
