But not in the W1 that's in tidioute knives so far (I've looked at them). It's FINE stuff, unless you need big carbides to cut dirty rope or rust resistance....it doesn't have those! But if you were in the woods dressing a deer, the fact that you could dress a deer, and spend a minute on a stone and have it still shaving hair is pretty fabulous.

It zips cardboard like nothing (you know, suburban man duty - cut up the boxes) and even as you can see it dulling, it's uniform so it keeps zipping and there's not much to get out when you go to resharpen.

I'll stop there before I start going way out there on a discussion of consistency in spec vs. fitness for use or absolute level of quality for use.
