Hi Joe,

Surely you're right about using one's pocket knife, for digging little planting holes. I suppose it's a good thing I don't have a Mont Blanc pen in my pocket to press into service. As for usage, I learned English from my dear Mother, who spoke a dialect only heard in Monroe, NC prior to 1920 or so. Sounded perfectly correct to me when I was growing up.

I did what you said and tightened up that Puma. Thank you--it never occurred to me it was such a straightforward fix. Just a skinny whisker of fine filing was needed on the pin.

I really like that Case Seahorse you pointed out. I also really liked Dave's Tidioute, but that one is not to be had, nor is a rigger's knife from a quality maker (I could use the marlinspike for the digging).
