The Correct ToolCJ in MPLS
I've been working on finishing up the first of a pair of saw handles lately and it has been a bit difficult. Using what you have on hand is the frugal approach to woodworking, but I've come to regret using a chunk of what I think is lacewood for the handles. I've been using a collection of files and relatively fine rasps to shape the handle and frankly, it is has been a real pain.
Until today. On the way home from work I stopped off at Woodcraft and picked up a Grobet rasp. The first handle is now done and is waiting for a second coat of tried and true. It is so nice to use the proper tool for the job. Unfortunately this type of thing seems to reinforce the 'purchase a tool for each project' kind of thinking.
