John Aniano in Central NJ
Hello All,

My wife and I took a vacation to the Puglia region of Italy a few weeks ago. We visited the fantastic National Archaeological Museum of Taranto, one of the very best I've ever seen. It spans from the neolithic period to the present day. In among the many exhibits, I saw this...

Here is a cache of 17 flint blades found in a hoard in 1941 and were never used. They date from 6000-4000 B.C.E. Truly New Old Stock tools!

They had some bronze chisels (for wood? for stone??) on display from about 1000 B.C.E., also NOS, but the flint blades took your breath away. Talk about hand tool skills! No A2 or PM-V11 in sight!

Over and out,

John
