Stanley scraper plane blade

Recently bought a Stanley #12 scraper plane along with a new HOCK Blade. I've seen two video's regarding the plane and sharpening (Lee Valley and Lie Neilson),both of which were not that clear. For those who have one, what is your method? (free hand,jig etc.)
