I remember being in grade school (well over 60 years ago) saying "The Pledge of Allegiance" and hearing about the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month and thinking about our fathers (my classmates and mine) who were all WW2 vets.....and thinking would I also be made to get into a war.

Perhaps, this day should hold a little time for reflection only.....some vets like to be thanked for their service.....some don't.
