Cupped BoardsGary B.
I'm slowly getting into hand tool only woodworking (My Career has been Industrial Woodworking). My 2nd ever Hand tool project will be a Saw Till to organize my growing collection. I purchased some 4/4 poplar, and cross cut to rough length last weekend. Yesterday I noticed that 2 of the 3 cross cuts (same board) have cupped substantially. I ripped them in half, jointed the edges and will re glue. In my past, I've always flipped glue ups, so that the growth rings are opposite on adjoining boards...For experimentation, (and aesthetics), I'm tempted to glue it back up the same way it was originally....Thoughts??
I had some pics I intended to post with this, but not sure how we attach them anymore?
