My bride ordered a new foam comfort mat to stand on while at the sink - roughly 38" by 22". It arrived today from the shipping point in Kentucky, in a box that long and wide, and 16" high. The mat is nearly 1" thick, so that means they shipped us 7-3/4 cubic feet of fine Kentucky air, for free. I am struck by their generosity.

I'm not quite sure what to do with the air. I guess I could cut it into smaller cubes and put it in everyone's Christmas stockings. In the meantime, I have it stacked in one corner of the living room, where it's not in the way.
