Yes, the Veritas blades will be thinner than the LN blades - expected to be a little thicker than the Smoothcut here alongside the LN ...
However, it is possible to adjust the frog and close the mouth to compensate for this. Here is the LN #51 after setting up the Smoothcut blade ..
