A doddle?Response To:
Excellent review and discussion, Derek () Derek Cohen (in Perth, Australia)
I forget Ellis that this is British/Australian slang and may not be understood elsewhere (what about globalisation?)
A doddle is a picnic. Oops .. that is more slang, since a picnic in this instance is child's play ... no wait, that is also slang. Money for old rope! There! That was a no doddle to explain - perhaps I should simply have said, easy-peasy.
Now all I have to do is explain why we use an "s" in words that you use a "z"! Like globalisation ....
Regards from Perth
Derek
