Not my method! I'm just sitting here looking at pictures of the way the experts (Klaus, Frid, Roubo, et. al.) do it and asking questions. BTW, there is something seriously wrong with the perspective shown in Warren's picture from Roubo, although the grip looks reasonable. I don't have a large bowsaw like the one James is seeking. My framesaw is on that order of magnitude, but I don't use it very often, and frame saws are inherently balanced, while bow saws are inherently off balance. When it comes down to sawing wood in large dimensions, my proclivity is to roll out my 18" bandsaurus and mercilessly start slaughtering electrons.
