I just read the biography posted on his blog and he says he had his first job in woodworking in a joiner's shop in 1965.

Did you read his biography? It doesn't appear to be embellished but I don't know that for sure. Do you think he's misrepresented himself?

I'm looking at this thing on the whole, the blog and the videos, and I honestly don't get what's wrong with the picture. I'll grant he does a few things in a bit of an unorthodox way but I find it refreshing, not hucksterism.

You're coming across a bit like Elsworth Toohey to his Howard Roark - crucifying the poor guy for having a mind of his own and not swimming with the rest of the school.
