I bought a freezer (cheap) made in the 1700`s when an old chair mill (water powered) went into foreclosure and had to be auctioned off recently. Before we could move it we had to unload all the frozen maple out of it. Luckily the auctioneer threw in several pairs of brain tanned beaver skin mittens so we didn`t get frostbite.
All the spindles were dated and we got the purchase date of the freezer from the mill ledger. Good enough documentation for ya?
