I'm not surprised that they are decent chisels. They're the same price or less than the chinese stanley stuff lowes sells (HD might also).

There is a "how it's made" episode that goes through the buck brothers factory in the US. If they have the process dialed in (they look to be induction hardened on a line, like probably every chrome vanadium tool is), they should get all good chisels.

I had a set with wood handles, they were a bit soft, but otherwise pretty good. I'd rather have a chisel that's a touch soft than a plane iron that's a touch soft.
