Short answer - it extends the continuum of choices for you folks... and that's never a bad thing.

Most people will only need to buy one set of good chisels in their lifetime - and these will be good candidates. There will be a number of compelling (or not) reasons for people to consider both the products, and the material...

I'm not getting rid of my Bergs, my Mifer's, or my Narex chisels .... and I still like O1 ....
