I got this same push back when I announced I was making a chisel from CPM 3V. "Why" was the question. "Why not" was the answer.

The market for a better chisel is not someone that already has a chisel that they are satisfied with. Of course these people are going to dismiss something incrementally better. Improvement not worth the price. End of story. But, put yourself in the shoes of someone that is buying their first set of quality chisels. If for the same price as competitive quality chisels you can buy a chisel that delivers any improvement in performance why would one not buy that chisel?
