Bill Tindall
DeVilbiss JGA 502 with 43 cap and 3M PPS cups. This is an ancient gun but it is so much more forgiving that the HVLP I bought, and no longer use. Son in law bought a 500 series on ebay for $50. The 3M cups are convenient and they enable spraying upside down and sideways.

Early in my woodworking I learned to spray. I have sprayed gallons of stuff over the years- shellac, lacquer, varnish, polyurethane, oil paint, conversion varnish. If I can spray it I do for the result is glass smooth.
