How much of what you say is simply due to the steel being hardened to a higher RC value?
Am I wrong when I say that these steels are made by very, very large industrial concerns? I think that there might be an impression in the marketplace that old Japanese gentlemen are making this steel themselves. They buy it from industrial suppliers just like the rest of us can (could), right?
