I'm not quite sure if I really understand that diagram. It sais -0.5. On the y-axis the unit is kgf/9mm.

No idea what that 9 is doing in there?

The force pulling the blade down into the wood was -0.5 with the capiron at 0.2mm and -0.25 with the capiron at 0.1mm. So with the capiron closer to the edge, the downforce was less.
