I posted these a couple of days ago on a previous thread,
The shavings wont choke if set like this, you can make this so tight that it will squeese the shaving a little , but as you say, it wont choke up.

45° bed and 34° bed
The higher the bed the tighter it gets and the more you have to file from the throat angle to open up the chip clearance.
