I remember hitting a point where it became easy. Nothing was really a problem. This is the point where difficulty is no longer an issue, you just know it is going to turn out. I still run up against perfectionist tendencies on certain projects, like one in two.
Worry about how it will turn out, and maybe stop for a while, or procrastinate. But it isn't the physical part of the job any more. All the tools and skills are there, or can be quickly crossed over to. If every project is something new, it takes a while to get the right idea, or to be confident I am headed in the right direction, but it isn't a problem with controlling the medium.
Now the above took a long time. It is all the stuff like developing skills, and developing a sense of how a tight fit will occur, and stuff like that. It takes a while. Like 10 to 15 years.
