You are talking about projects and developing specific skills, I was talking about understanding how a chisel cuts and what wood is and how it works, which are fundemental to making use of your accquired skills.

I have seen many people build very nice peices or woodwork wrong!
Because they dont understandthe wood. You know that they will have problems come the next season and everythings shrinks and opens up, I have done it before myself.

Its a lack of knowledge not skills. I am talking about imparting the basic knokledge to be able to examine and interpret and extrapolate
