Well all of this will now have to go back in the hopper. Possibly the reason why some people had the opinions they did about his planes is because, apparently "nobody" knew what they were doing. So how can we trust that any comparison made was actually an intelligent one. There was a time when if you had done one good dovetail joint you were an internet go-to god. Everyone does them today. Same thing will happen with planes. Apparently nobody had the memo. And doing seminars this was obvious to me also. Stop cuts or whatever they are called, nobody knew about that. Lots of people fell for the curved blade stuff (good stuff) because apparently they didn't know squat about free hand planing. One problem about the internet is that you can go blue in the face trying to lead someone to water, but video is probably the only thing that will do it. In fact I learned the stuff Charlesworth eventually got across from the Krenov video. So I had a 10 year jump. I have read several hundred books, and say 1000 magazines, and never saw word one about it.
