As I understand it, formaldehyde vapor is emitted during curing, emission from cured resin is minimal. Rayon is a urea-formaldehyde product, yet there are no pop culture worries about it - doesn't have "formaldehyde" in the name you see
Perhaps someone who understands the chemistry better than I will weigh in on the matter.
Only plywood I'd have some concerns about is the really cheap stuff from China that smells a bit off. After the record with their drywall a few years ago, I could believe just about anything comes out of it
