Not sure this part of the question was answered.....

I get it that a surface from the Supersurfacer looks better than a sanded surface while lying on the bench. However, surfaces in furniture have finish applied to them. If I am going to use a planed surface to be finished vs a sanded surface I want to see a benefit in the piece of furniture sitting in the living room. What finishing schedules will, or will not, reveal a difference. If two coats of shellac or lacquer rubbed out don't show a difference the potential market shrinks.
