Confession time. When I had trouble yesterday I called Mark Harrell and he had one of his hybrid filed 12" dovetail/tenon saws that someone had returned for hand size so I ordered it. We'll see how it goes. I have a Stanley handsaw I got many years ago hanging out in the garage and I might try it but I doubt it's what will help me with this project.
