Then the mouth is too tight. When the capiron is in the sweet spot, the shavings are straightened out, and then you can get away with a somewhat tight mouth, while still using the capiron to full effect.
And when your irons are too much cambered, then you could make them a bit straighter. It's not like it's a dogma to have your panel plane at 1/32" camber.
