I feel sorry for all you still addicted, I am pretty much cured and well on the way to full recovery. I don’t fret over the woodworking these days; my therapist recommended something more relaxing, like gardening. So that’s what I spend a lot of time on these days. I bought myself one of those great lawnmowers called “real” mowers they are like the ones that you see on golf courses, they have three sets of helical cutterheads about 30” long with 6 blades in each and they cut on a shear, slicing the grass up against a flat steel nose-bar. If you jack the machine up and lock one of the wheels and connect a chain to a sprocket mounted on the drive and to the sprocket on blade drive shaft and run the machine in reverse, you can make the cutters go backwards then with the machine running you can brush lapping paste on the blades and gradually adjust the nose bar into the rotating blades honing the blades and nosebar at the same time until both are polished and perfectly mated. When all tuned up these blades slice the grass like the finest scissors, every fiber of each blade of grass cleanly severed…ahh, so relaxing.
