Clearly, if one brings steel into the shop that can't be cut by the honing equipment they have in place then all this hooray and who shot John makes sense. I guess.

I've polished with diamonds before. It made the steel nice and shiny and I probably got an extra ten minutes out of the average edge. That didn't impress me much and frankly I enjoy stopping ten minutes early and taking a breather.
