I found an email from Dave Barnett ( but I don't see it here) about my having made a 17 in long smoother plane. The Plane is actually 18 1/4 inch long. I have to admit that I THOUGHT such a plane was called a smoother. Apparently not. It's just a Krenov-style wood plane that measures 18 1/4 in. long. 2 1/4 in. high, and 2 3/8 in. wide. So what is the proper name for it?
