Story has a nice ending: turns out the lady who came to fetch her Blackberry has a handicapped child who recently barely recovered from a severe illness, and the Blackberry contained numerous photos of him just after recovery in the hospital. She told me she was crying her eyes out over what she figured was the loss of these pictures. I was happy to help; she said she would pay it forward. Nice ending.
