Subject:
Hadn't even thought about Polylube

David Barnett
Polylube H9's good stuff, too, and now that I think about it, is probably more suited to steel swarfs as it gets used on magnetic heads and so on. I guess I think of it more as a cleaner than a lube, but that's likely a plus for sharpening. Good call from the tech rep. As you know, I agree with him on the non-backed films. It really can help buying from primary sources with good reps who know their products.

"Yeah, I'm motivated. It's fun!"

You think scraping, lapping, sharpening and polishing steel is fun, you ought to try faceting sapphire, toumaline and so on. It was my onetime affair with sharpening that led to my present proclivities.
