...I can see where a flat top would be key. When I first started using mine, flat seemed really important, but not so much now that nearly everything I do could be done on a smaller surface.

Some of those cast iron ASOs aren't even worth lifting, from what I've seen. I noticed my anvil has put on weight over the years. When I first got it, if it was up high enough I could lock my arms under it lift it with by straightening my back. Not a chance these days. Now it takes two people to move it, and that's getting much harder from whatever end I choose. I'm pretty sure I couldn't even lift the Titan, these days, another reason to not buy.

Sounds like you can be pretty choosy where you live. I got mine when I lived in MA but not a lot of old anvils here in FL. They're not getting any cheaper, that's for sure.
